Frank Lindo

“Living Legend” are the first words which come to mind when describing this unique and dynamic entertainer. Frank Lindo evokes positive crowd responses as he performs to audiences internationally.

Frank began his professional career as an R&B / Motown Artist in the Caribbean Island of Barbados. As a teenager, he began singing in the church choir and then realized he had the talent and ability to take his performance to a wider audience. Mr. Lindo is influenced by American singers such as David Ruffin (Temptations) and Ray Charles. Frank’s flair for showmanship and high energy performance lead him to co-found  ”Stone Soul Picnic”, an intensely popular Ottawa band from 1992-2004. His considerable musical talent is once again exciting audiences across the globe with his dynamic new R&B band.

What could be better than dancing to the sweet soul sounds of The Four Tops, The Supremes, Marvin Gaye and Smokey Robinson? Dancing to them live! Especially so, when they’re performed by Mr. Frank “Too Tall” Lindo and his classic R&B/Soul Revue. Frank, decked out in black tie and tails, bowler hat and patent leather shoes, is a striking figure. But it’s his voice that really hits home. He has that raspy, whiskey-laced voice that is the signature of all great soul singers, from Otis Redding to Chuck Jackson to Ben E. King. He handles the vocal stylization of these soul legends like a major league hurler who’s in total control of an arsenal of beguiling pitches. One, two, three strikes and you’re out dancing and grooving to a truly soulful beat.
