Kelly Craig

2010 has been a productive year for Kelly Craig, hitting milestones with both Shine, his post secondary and a long awaited new release on the horizon from the sextet. In addition, Kelly has revisited his root with the new original Soul music project, Jeff Rogers and the All Day Daddies.

Since 2003 much of Kelly’s time has been spent building Shine and filling gaps in his post-secondary eduction left there by accepting tour dates in the early 90s. Shine has grown significantly and,  like a child on it’s way to pre-school requires less attention from its parent and more interaction with others. Now that Kelly has hit these plateaus his plans are:

  • to quantify the new concepts presented by Prof. Kevin Dean during private lessons and develop practice routines for both himself and his students to aid in the execution of these concepts.
  • to record the treatments of Standards, Ballads and Blues with Brian Browne we have developed over the last 10 years of playing together.
  • Develop Shine Concerts specifically to book The Funk Brothers on international dates.
  • Work with the Band leaders of Walter Ego, The Jivewires, and Jeff Rogers and the All Day Daddies to develop and record original material with these groups.
